Episode 8: Christine Accuses Elijah

The Great and Powerful Genie Episode 8 pushes Elijah and Christine's troubled marriage closer to a breaking point.

After the uncomfortable events of the previous night, Elijah enters the bathroom and quietly hands Christine a towel. Rather than easing the tension between them, his silence causes Christine to become increasingly frustrated.

Their conversation turns into an argument, and Christine accuses Elijah of being a gold digger who has remained with her for financial gain. After years of quietly supporting Christine and helping her succeed, the accusation gives Elijah another painful reminder of how little she understands him.

Instead of losing his temper, Elijah remains composed. He assures Christine that within the next few days, she will finally get what she wants.

As Elijah walks away, however, Christine finds herself unexpectedly bothered by his departure. His changing attitude suggests that the end of their five-year agreement may affect Christine more than she is prepared to admit.
